Since I'm now training power-lifting with the UT team on MWFSat (which is awesome btw after a week of high intensity weight training my pull ups are like ten times as explosive now and I mostly train legs anyway) and I definitely want to keep from becoming some hulking behemoth I'm going start some dedicated cardio and mobility training on Thursdays. It will be at clark field (duh) and will consist mostly of hill sprints, jump rope, and jogging for cardio, and isometric and dynamic stretching for mobility. I'd appreciate any and all ideas from any one who knows good flexibility/mobility drills as well by the way. I know some good stuff but could always use more. It'll start at 6, and I'm aiming for an hour workout, but I could see it stretching out for 2 hours. If anyone wants to join me they are more than welcome to. A speed rope costs no more than 5 bucks and you can read up on rope skipping right here www.bodybuilding.com/fun/rossboxing4.htmI will still be going to the good ole Tuesday conditioning days that we all love so much as well, and I'll try to scrape some time and energy together for some random technique training once a week and post that in the random training thread. Sorry to put it on a day that conflicts with an official training day (but those are getting revamped anyway), but cardio/mobility conditioning is what I need to add on most right now, and I really don't have any other day to do it. 6 days of pain a week, baby. AINT NOTHIN BUT A PEANUT!

www.brianmac.co.uk/sprints/This is one of the best websites I have ever found for this sort of stuff. I've linked to the Sprints page because that was one I learned a lot from a few years ago, but there's a heap more information if you follow the links down the left-hand side of the page. Just thought it could be useful. ... AINT NUTHIN TO IT BUT TO DO IT! LIGHT WEIGHT BABY!

I will most definitely be up for it buddy. You thinking we'd devote Thursdays to cardio or do some training and then end it with some cardio blasts? I like either idea, both would be great for long-term endurance with different workouts. I should be out Thursday, lets do it.

I personally was thinking cardio only, as my cardio needs a lot of work. so endurance cardio with cardio blasts. if we were to do pk training I say we should do it at the end rather than the beginning. Start thinking about some good routines tim, i could use your cross country/track experience for this. all i have right now is hill sprints into skip rope for a minute or two for a few rounds if that gives you an idea of what i'm shooting for
anyone who wants to come i'd appreciate it if you bought a nylon speed rope (they're only 5 bucks) as I'm definitely going to want to throw some of that in there. If you can't get one come anyway you can pretend jump rope (almost as effective honestly) or just run or something while we jump.
edit: indian runs. we're doing those for god d**n sure.. i'll bring a heavy bag
