ABOUT JAMING IN OTHER CITIES
Since lately we have blossomed in size and locations I think we need to get a little thread going about when and where we jam. THESE ARE JUST MY THOUGHTS AND IS NOT LAW so everyone who has thoughts on this should speak up if they want to be heard. I was thinking we should have some kind of prerequisites when selecting a new location. I think that for 10-20 people to travel to a new city that the "host/s" who pick the locations and call for people to come out, should have AT LEAST been to one jam before and that they describe well the locations at play. That way we don't all travel to a place and something foolish occurs like the location really sucks, that people don't have a place to stay or any of the various reasons that would make things suck. I think that new people who sign up could introduce themselves in the greeting and introductions thread and from there since we will then know who/where you are, we can work from there instead of saying "I'm from this place and I'm new. Let's have a jam here" I do want every new person to feel welcomed and for them to grow as tracuers with our group. I just feel that we have outgrown the way we do things. When there was only 10 people in the group. It wasn't hard to pick a city and work out housing, rides, and all that good stuf. I think we have outgrown that method and need to work out a new.
I think the system should go something like this. When introducing an idea to the group first you should:
1. Be a contributing member of the Team (I.E.- Dues, Experinece and Message board attendence)
2. Have a location schedueled to hold occupency...up to 10 Parkour members. Either very very inexpensive with high volume of people in one space or houses set up for people to stay. Along with finding enough food for all. So ROOM AND BOARD.
3. Have at least mapped out 5 hours of straight Parkour. Like UT campus.
