Also, if anyone is down for the project, Aardvark mentioned making t-shirts with a black marker. I could adapt the flyer artwork a bit and we could use some of those iron-on transfers...just a thought. I would go ahead and tackle it, but I've got no printer...and no iron......but if everyone threw in a few bucks for a plain t-shirt, and split the cost of a pack of iron-ons, it would be doable.

I'm more than willing to turn one of my shirts into a PK Austin shirt. I've also got an iron. How do the iron-ons work?

You can print a design directly onto the iron-on sheet using a laser or inkjet (i believe) printer. You should find them with the photo paper practically anywhere..

Whoa, I didn't notice that you'd already gotten those designs done! Fast work!
I think the third one is best for the fliers, though I'd prefer the less detailed look of the first two for the shirts.
Do you have to print each one, or can you copy it onto the iron-ons? Either way, I should be able to inkjet those. We need a count of how many are going to this run, though.

I believe each iron-on has to be printed. I'm thinking I'd take the flyer design and format it to fit 8.5 x 11 landscape orientation. I'm in for one for sure. I like the idea of the first one on a shirt.

You have to print them backwards so they come out right. (I have done this a few times.)

Bats, I don't know if you saw it, but if you could send me the .psd's that would be great. That way I could blow em up and print out posters to post up on my side of town.

Edit: Daric - I sent you a You Send It link for the folder. It's about 42 Mb compressed...

All right. Here's what I'm thinking. I'll get the things printed off, and we'll start on Friday on campus. Everyone should bring a shirt, and I'll bring the iron. Anne, can we use your dorm to make the shirts? We can jam around campus, putting up flyers, then move to the Drag, jamming the entire length. Then we'll get in our cars, go downtown to a place, jam around there for an hour or so, and go down to Zilker to jam. At the end, we'll divide up the flyers and talk about who'll go where to put things up.
Sound good? Any suggestions? And what times are you free Friday?

I absolutely love this idea and won't be available Friday and for that I hate my life. Whhyyyyyyyy does this happen. AND Iron Man comes out Friday. But I'm seeing that shiz Thursday at midnight anyway so thats less important. I will see what I can do about rescheduling for Friday but I'm not making any promises. I will however be out tomorrow and Thursday, is there anything I could help with on those 2 days?

d**n. Well, I can probably give some money to help fund all this to someone tomorrow or Thursday that will also be out Friday. And maybe a white tshirt or something. I have 2 TXPK shirts already but neither have our website on it.

I like the first two of Bats' designs. Pictures on it would take a lot of ink and we don't really need them since we are doing the movements live. Plus, without them we can make the URL and stuff bigger. I'm totally down with this on Friday. I work early morning so anytime after noon is good with me. I have an iron too.

Sure. Party in the laundry room! I have classes until 11 on friday, and I have an appointment for my knees at 1:55, but I could possibly reschedule that.

Amount of ink is actually not a concern. (although the massive amount of pure black on the last design is a lot worse than a few photos... ) The most cost effective way to do this is to print one or two master copies, and then use a copier to duplicate. I was actually thinking, since these are set up as half-letter size, I'll just tile up the first two on a sheet, and then double the last one on a sheet, and then we can print/copy whatever..
