So, I'm confused, do we know what we're putting on the shirts yet? Is the flyer design the same as the shirts? Because I think that the logo would look pretty awesome on the shirts, and then maybe underneath (or on the back, whatever) could be the tagline and website. For example: I think that would be really cool. and it would be even cooler if each of us had a different 'saying' on the shirt. Also, I have a printer/scanner/copier in my room, if this is helpful. Edit: something like this: (I want mine to look like that )

That is pretty sweet. If we see people gawking at us we can Parkour by and hand them a flyer

Yeah, I'd buy one. But why, when I can make one? (I'm cheap.) I'll definitely be making this shirt for myself anyway, but since I already bought a shirt (and altered it to fit me) I kind of want to make it for this. Whatever, though. Oh yeah, Tim - I saw that in the shop and wondered why your name was on it. Makes sense now.

k caught up on the thread you guys really have a good idea going. Don't think dfw is organised enough to do somthing such as this just thinking into the future here. It would be really cool if we could do a demo like kswiss did. Like the way they performed explained what it was then random people came up to try. Afterward you could give them a card with the site on it. Was just thinking.

I think the most efficient (and greenest!) way to do this is to carry around some pens. They can provide the paper, or write it on their hands. This may be a good idea anyway, in case you run out of flyers or cards.
Also: did we decide which design to go with for our ad shirt? There was a lot of positive response for the first two of bats's design, but that was before Tiger and Maltise put up theirs. Personally, I like the simplicity of Tiger's design for a normal TXPK shirt. For an ad campaign, though, I think the URL needs to feature prominently.
Alternatively, we could each have our own design. Individuality is a big part of Parkour, after all. However, it does lose a little bit of impact in terms of an ad campaign: it's more striking to see a bunch of guys jumping over things while wearing the same or similar clothing. In this case, we'd have to take orders and get them printed out beforehand, instead of just being able to show up with a shirt and slap on a design.
What do you guys think?
EDIT: Which of the flyer designs are we using?

I think I like this flyer best (but I think we should vote on what pictures to use in it): I like Tiger's t-shirt design a lot. Different sayings on each t-shirt would be very cool. We'd still be identifiable as a group because of the predominant TXPK logo on every t-shirt.

As for the shirt design, I was kinda going for the first flyer that I posted, for the reasons that Aardvark mentioned. (large URL, consistent design) However, I'm largely viewing these shirts as a temporary thing, and I think we should definitely work on getting an order together to have some nice shirts screen printed. As for which flyers we're using, I purposely designed mine with a large contrasting URL for maximum impact. From a marketing standpoint, this ensures that people will see it even if they do not recognize it, and that stays with them. It's planting a seed, so to speak.

You guys can use all of them. You guys are doing great. As for the T-shirt. We will be having t-shirts come out by the end of may with a professional design. We have already got the logo. We just haven't paid the guy yet! So, get ready for some super tight t-shirts. Also, you guys can use whatever t-shirts you like. I don't mind if there are 100 different types.

Ok, less than 24 hours. What is going on? - I get out of class at 11. We can use my dorm's laundry room to iron things. - Aardvark doesn't have class, he's picking up iron on paper sometime tomorrow morning. - Levi gets out at noon - Bats doesn't get out till five, so I suppose he'll be meeting up with us later (and we eat subway)
(Also...if we're going downtown, if whoever's taking me could please swing by the Faulk library real quick, I have 2 books due there tomorrow.)
Anyone else coming? Anything I'm missing?
Edit: We're going to meet at my place (Littlefield) at noon. It's the dorm in the quad where we were doing palmspins and such. Call me, 281 229 3279 when you get there.

Sorry I didn't show. I was a member of the walking dead today. Went to a midnight showing of Iron Man then went straight to work afterward. I couldn't get out of bed. How did it all turn out? I will still put in some money to get one of those iron ons if there are any left.

Haha, you sounded really tired when I called you. It was pretty awesome. The shirts are pretty rockin, too. We have already printed off 'over under through' and 'speed flow grace' if either of those strike your fancy. I just got back from downtown and am pretty tired, so possibly a more detailed explination later.

That was beyond awesome. This is the first time I've completely hit the wall training, had a big meal, and recovered enough to train more within a few hours.
We went with Tiger's design. Tiger or bats might be able to post up the .psd files and/or photos. The front was the red, white, and blue TXPK logo, and the back had a tagline and the URL. Each one of us had a different tagline:
Cale: BE SPIDERMAN Tiger: LEARN TO FLY bats: CHASE ME DOWN Me: NO OBSTACLES
I think the shirts really made us look a lot more official, so we got more people talking to us. I'll do a fuller writeup when I'm not exhausted. =)
